The HACL

The Historical Association of Central Louisiana is a partnership of members who share a common interest in preserving our local history for future generations.

Mission: The HACL strives to advance the preservation, appreciation, and understanding of things of historical value in the central Louisiana community.

The first of the City of Alexandria's historical markers was unveiled on 2/25/2020 in honor of P.B.S. Pinchback, Louisiana's first African-American governor. The marker was a collaborative effort between the Historical Association of Central Louisiana's Mike Tudor and Michael Wynne and the City of Alexandria.
