Conerly House
Renovation of a Plantation House as a Doctor's Office
By using its tax exempt status, the HACL facilitated the rescue of Conerly House, c. 1870, which is now Alexandria Surgical Clinic on Jackson Street in Alexandria. The house was donated to The Historical Association of Central Louisiana and moved. A surgeon bought the house, and has lovingly restored it as his office.
