Mission: The HACL strives to advance the preservation, appreciation, and understanding of things of historical value in the central Louisiana community.
William Tecumseh Sherman became the first superintendent of the Louisiana State Seminary of Learning and Military Academy in Pineville, LA. This institution later became Louisiana State University relocated to Baton Rouge, LA.
